A principal must schedule an announced observation with the teacher in order for the teacher to access or fill out the Pre-Observation Form. Once the principal schedules an observation, the teacher can access or submit their Pre-Observation form using their Observations and Artifacts page.
The Pre and Post-Observation forms are available for the teacher to fill out immediately after the principal schedules an announced observation. Teachers can click Submit to submit the Pre or Post-Observation form multiple times.
To access or submit the Pre-Observation Form, go to the teacher's Observations and Artifacts page and click on the "Pre-Observation: Yes" link next to the corresponding observation, as shown below.
NOTE: This link will say "Pre-Observation: No" if the teacher has not yet submitted the Pre-Observation form. The link will say "Pre-Observation: Yes" if the teacher has submitted the form. Regardless of the status of the form, the teacher may always click on the "Pre-Observation:" link to access it. The principal will not be able to access the form until the teacher clicks Submit to submit it.
The Pre-Observation form will open in a pop-up window, as shown below:
The teacher can type their answers into the text areas and scroll down to the Save button to save their input. The principal will not see the form until the teacher clicks Submit to submit it. To submit the form, the teacher can scroll to the bottom and click Submit.
Once the teacher has clicked Submit to submit the form, the principal may access the Pre-Observation Conference form by going to the teacher's Observations and Artifacts page and clicking on the same "Pre-Observation:" link.
