Principal Guide to the Professional Practice Dashboard

The Professional Practice Dashboard offers principals a complete view of their school's current Professional Practice progress, as well as the ability to start or manage observations and teacher artifacts. Principals can access the Professional Practice Dashboard by logging into the Evaluations Hub, hovering their cursor over the 'Professional Practice' main menu item and clicking ‘All’ under the ‘Teachers’ sub menu item shown below.

The pie chart segments on the Professional Practice page reflect the status of each teacher's Professional Practice evaluation. As the principal progresses with observations, the pie chart will update to show how many teacher's Professional Practice evaluations are "Not Started", "In Process", or "Completed". The principal can click any segment of the pie chart to view teachers who are in the selected status. They can also use the search box at the upper right of the page to enter any portion of a teacher name and search for that teacher. They can view the list of all teachers by clicking on the '## Teachers' link in the bottom left of the pie chart, this is shown below as '7 Teachers'.

Principals can view past year Professional Practice information by selecting a past year from the year droplist in the upper right side of the page, as shown above.

All schools will have one test teacher whose name will be formatted as '##, Teacher' – the principals can use this teacher to test out any Professional Practice items such as scheduling or completing observations, adding correlations, or artifacts management. The test teacher can only be accessed if the principal clicks the '# Teachers' link to view the list of all teachers. The test teacher accounts are NOT counted in the pie chart, the pie chart will only show counts for actual teachers.
